Problem
Bank customers showed growing interest in crypto but lacked confidence, understanding, and trust. Most existing exchanges felt overwhelming, speculative, and detached from banking standards. The challenge was to design a product that reduced fear and cognitive load while meeting security, compliance, and usability expectations.

The challenge was to design a product that reduced fear and cognitive load while meeting security, compliance, and usability expectations.
Process
The process combined research, validation, and iterative design.
I started with exploratory research, analyzing user behavior, pain points, and mental models around crypto adoption, especially among users with traditional banking backgrounds. This included reviewing existing crypto platforms, identifying friction points, and understanding where users felt uncertainty or mistrust.
Based on these insights, I defined the core MVP journeys, prioritizing clarity over feature depth. Early concepts were tested through low- and mid-fidelity prototypes, validating onboarding flows, buy/sell interactions, and portfolio comprehension.
User testing revealed the importance of:
Clear guidance during first-time actions
Transparent pricing and balances
Visual reassurance around security and risk
Findings were iteratively incorporated, aligning UX decisions with both user needs and regulatory constraints, in close collaboration with stakeholders and developers.
